Dr Damian Heman

Damian completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of NSW at Randwick and Albury-Wodonga in 2017, graduating with distinction. He has since undertaken post-graduate training with the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine, recently being awarded their Certificate. He is currently working in general practice and is undertaking training with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. Other post-graduate pursuits have included: Advanced Life Support 2, Rural Emergency Skills Training and Point of Care Ultrasound. His areas of interest are broad including, paediatrics, emergency medicine, sports medicine and point of care ultrasound. 

Damian has trained at Mount Beauty Medical Centre both as a student and a junior doctor and has now returned to complete his training. Prior to his career in medicine, Damian worked in project management and planning and has been a professional ski patroller for 15 years, including working at the 2010 Winter Olympics, Vancouver.

Damian is a long-term resident of the Kiewa Valley having moved here with his wife, Skye, in 2005. Together they have two boys who have been lucky enough to call Mount Beauty home. When he’s not working at Mount Beauty Medical Centre you will find him enjoying downhill and backcountry skiing, Nordic skiing, mountain biking or at the skate park.
