Dr Laura Zagorski
Laura was born and raised in Mt Beauty and is the daughter of long time Mt Beauty GP Mark Zagorski. Laura moved to Perth to study Medicine at the University of Western Australia, completed her internship at Royal Perth Hospital, and worked at various hospitals in Melbourne for 2 years, including completing her Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Mercy Hospital.
Laura enrolled in General Practice training in Melbourne and originally came back to Mt Beauty for a short 6-month stint. She enjoyed the country life and work so much more that she made the move and has now been here ever since!
Laura enjoys the variety and challenge of rural general practice and is interested in Women’s Health and Antenatal Care, Preventative Health including Lifestyle Medicine, and helping patients through the various challenges that arise from the beginning to the end of their life.
Aside from achieving her Fellowships with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, Laura has completed extra training in Adult and Paediatric Resuscitation, Child Health, Alpine Medicine, ENT procedures, Contraception and Lifestyle Medicine.
Outside of work Laura is a keen downhill skier, mountain bike rider and cook. She loves spending time with her partner Matt and daughters Goldie and Clover and enjoys living back in the same town as her family.
