Dr Skye Delaney is a procedural Rural Generalist who has worked at Mount Beauty and Falls Creek Medical Centres since 2005.
Skye graduated from Medicine at the University of Newcastle in 2002.
She subsequently trained in Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Emergency, ICU and Surgery at Bankstown and Campbeltown Hospitals.
Skye is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. Skye also gained a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has provided obstetric services locally at Wodonga and Mount Beauty Hospitals in the past. Skye continues to enjoy providing Antenatal Care and working in all areas of Women’s Health. Skye has completed courses in sexual and reproductive health, sports medicine, advanced adult and paediatric life support and the emergency management of trauma. Skye's medical interests cover a wide range of areas including special interests in managing peri-menopause and menopause, and skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. She has additional interests in paediatrics, sports medicine and emergency medicine.
Skye is an accredited supervisor for training GPs and medical students and has lectured as part of the Australian Ski Patrol Association certification program. In 2020 Skye received a Recognition of Service Award from GP Supervisors Australia for over 12 years of service as a GP Supervisor, helping to guide doctors through their professional training.
Skye is married to Damo, who has completed his medical training and is now also working as a Doctor in the region. Together they enjoy living in the beautiful Kiewa Valley with their two sons and their dog. In her spare time, she enjoys mountain biking, downhill and cross-country skiing, hiking, swimming, running and yoga. Skye also loves to travel and explore new places with her family and friends.
